Healthy Natural Hair: Three Quick Tips

I spent four years looking for a miracle in a jar. Something I could just slap onto my hair and be done with it. Let me be the first to say, it just doesn’t exist! Sorry to break this sad news to you. But, hey, I’ve got some good news. There are three tips I’ve learned that have not only helped me bypass all of these so-called “miracle” products, but also save time and energy. Are you ready to hear about them? Here we go!
1. Take care of yourself! Yep, it’s that simple. Eat nutrient rich fruits and veggies, eat protein, drink tons of water and (dare I say it?) exercise. Now you might be giving your tablet the infamous side-eye, and I know what you’re thinking: I've heard this before. Well, do you know why you’ve heard this before? Because it works! It really works!
2. Get In tune! I’ve learned how to read my hair's needs through trial and error. If my hair is brittle, I can guarantee that increasing my protein intake will solve the problem. If my hair looks dull, drinking more water usually solves the problem. If my hair is not thriving, I know that it is usually because I’ve been eating more cakes and pies than apples and oranges. Get it? Your hair is what you eat!
3. Enjoy yourself! Ever hear the saying: A watched pot never boils? Well, this can also be true when it comes to your hair. Constantly stressing over your hair can definitely take a toll on its health. So relax. Find other non-stressful hobbies to obsess over and your strands will thank you for it by thriving to their full potential.
