Welcome to No-Nonsense Natural! My name is Nike (Nee-kay) Anderson, a published Nigerian-American writer who resides in Middle Georgia. I've been natural for ten years, happily married for eight, and have two wonderful little boys, ages two and six.

 

During the autumn season of 2006, I saw it fitting to change the way I thought about my kinky textured hair. I didn't realize "going natural" was a thing back then, but I soon learned that I was not the only one embracing my God-given hair. 

 

When I was introduced to the natural hair community via YouTube, I was so elated to learn how much the community was growing. Since then, I jumped right in and began researching and writing articles for various blogs and websites regarding natural haircare. 

 

I created this blog to serve as a home to share the many successes and failures of being a natural hair veteran. I sort of see it as paying-it-forward because blogs like this have really helped me during my natural hair journey.
